Ticket sales are normal, which is good considering there's still hockey and we're doing a Sunday show..
The Oilers have now taken Rexall place for the weekend so the Rexall client (Dora the Explorer) is moved to Hall D.
KOTC will be in hall B, which still holds over 3,000 people. The show will be the same although there is one of our pyro effects we may not be able to use. They will just replace it with a different one.

http://www.keepersofthecage.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif I don't even know who she is, just that she has four shows on the weekend and they must be well attended to have booked Rexall.
We wouldn't have to go far to get her! http://www.keepersofthecage.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

you need to have more local fighters on the card, that will attract fans and once they see one there hooked

True and you need to get it out their a little harder. FIVE SECONDS ON THE RADIO IS HIT OR MISS.
TRY hitting local pubs with poster.
sounds dumb but we get five or six guys going to Local boxing shows that way.
marketing doesn't have to be expensive. you just need to know where to feed the animals http://www.keepersofthecage.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

I think there are enough Edmonton fighters on this card (5 at last count), if you over do it with the local talent it gets watered down and begins to look like a local scrub show (See MFC!). Keep bringing in a good mix of Canadian talent and International talent and the shows interest will continue to grow!!

that's true. then you can bring chairs in the cage and the referee can be distracted while another fighter jumps in .
Whats my point again? http://www.keepersofthecage.com/forums/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif

I haven't been to an MMA event yet that didn't have some fighters pull out etc etc so this is no different, most promoters just learn to roll with the punches!!

As of right now, we have 13 fights booked. If a couple fall through, it won't affect the show, but it looks like they'll all hold up.

Congrats oiler fans, at least somebody is steppin up to represent hockey in Canada...
But how will the sat night home game six in Edmonton affect the Widow maker show on fathers day??I hope the avg. sports fan in Edm. has enough entertainment $$$$. for both.i know i would pick fights first..
In BC nothing can compete with hockey hype, our whole town would be hungover all through sunday if the Canucks were in the same situation...we lived it in 1994
Go Oilers,,Goodluck Widow Maker...
